geoff kramer growing up in a progressive household, music and the arts were always present throughout geoff’s early years. he grew up listening to everything from michael jackson to irish folk tunes to the b52s, taking up the trumpet and french horn as a youth and performing in school bands, jazz bands and church groups. it was in the year 2000, in san luis obispo, california that geoff was introduced to the southern california rave scene, discovering his true musical passion: underground electronic music. it was clear from his first party experienced that geoff’s calling was to be a dj. initially spinning everything from progressive trance, to hard house/trance and progressive house, he secured his first gigs playing at underground events in san luis obispo, earning a loyal following. after relocating to central california in late 2001, geoff was introduced to fresno’s rich house music culture. this influence coupled with one particular event changed him forever--the closing party of the fabled club townsend in san francisco and the now-legendary six-hour set by doc martin. geoff’s love for house music was forever sealed. with a newfound passion for house music, geoff quickly became involved with events in the fresno area. a string of successful gigs lead to a rotating residency with rockstar productions and the legendary wasabeats & essential parties. in 2003 that geoff met rick boogie, another dj who shared geoff’s passion for quality music and for throwing quality parties. the two went on to start the successful boogie nights party in the summer of 2004, along with the overwhelmingly popular “h” street undergrounds that continued throughout 2005. these and other successes have lead geoff to become one of central california’s most sought after djs, playing at events from southern california to the bay area to burning man in the nevada desert, alongside names such as m3, tony hewitt, adam warped and homero espinosa. geoff currently holds two residencies: the monthly boogie nights and the weekly day party antidote, both of which feature the most talented djs and producers in house music today. |
