pursuing his passion for music, ezra osborn is influenced by california’s dj legends (mark farina, doc martin, marques wyatt, wally callerio, david harness) and draws from his wide spectrum of musical tastes (r&b, jazz, funk, latin jazz, rock, salsa, soul, hip-hop, rap, and disco).
his love of house music began in 1993 at the age of 16. raised in the monterey bay area, he was only a short drive away from the incredible and highly influential san francisco scene. ezra has been a strong supporter of the house music scene for over 14 years now and has truly been a student of the music.
he plays what he loves, and is known for his impeccable selection, programming, and flawless mixing. ezra’s style is very versatile and caters to the vibe of the people on the dance floor. what he plays can vary from deep & sexy to jackin’ techy acid to everything in between. ezra has gained much acclaim in the california dj community for his uncanny ability to work a crowd into a frenzy.
he is responsible for some of the most successful and respected dj residencies in central california, and is recognized as one of the elite artists in the area. he is one of the scene’s pioneers, contributing to introducing true underground house music culture to the infamous fresno scene.
ezra is currently a rotating resident at bounce and antidote, monthly and weekly parties in fresno, california featuring some of the world’s top underground house music djs and producers. ezra has had the pleasure of playing along side such acts as lawnchair generals, miles maeda, wally callerio, ken christensen of ecb, tony hewitt, thomas white of natural rhythm, ellen ferrato, hector moralez, slater hogan, john larner, dj mes, rick preston, jeno, m3, homero espinosa, cubase dan, as well as with local legends dj bradley, clint storm, geoff kramer, giano, kristian moua, mario macias, jason merle, p-rez, rick boogie, and rusty.
in 2006 ezra osborn and his associate kristian moua established voluptuous recordings a fully independent record label. their debut voluptuous 001 hit stores in january, 2007, with more releases hitting soon after.
